The winning project for the 2010 edition of the Award was submitted by Céline Legros, a young French entrepreneur passionate about cooking who switched career (former business lawyer) by passion. Her business plan focused on introducing to New Yorkers unique authentic French pastries: the canelés and financiers.

French by birth and New Yorker by heart, Céline founded in April 2008 Les Canelés de Céline, a food business specialized in the baking and selling of French mini pastries. Céline reinterprets delicious French recipes with healthy (only 25 Calories for the canelé) and qualitative ingredients and a unique twist for the culinary capital of the world by offering unique seasonal flavors.

Les Canelés de Céline is selling its pastries to B2C online and to B2B while working with luxury brands such as Ruinart, Dom Perignon, Louis Vuitton, Clarins for special coporate events. The pastries are also sold daily at Nespresso Café Bar and Boutique (as part of a Café Gourmand), French Cafes (upper east side) and Boutique Hotels.

"Being the only member in the company, I value today all the more the importance of the coaching from the Club 600 which has enabled me to rethink and contemplate other retail opportunities. I am now thinking of a new unique type of retail business in Manhattan and I am confident that the coaching would be also very useful to move forward in that direction!".said Celine Legros, founder of Les canelés de Celine.
